My goal is to create simple, easy to use websites!
I have been designing sites since 1999. I am based out of Puyallup, Washington but can work on a site anywhere in the states of Washington, Oregon, California or Idaho.
I have been designing content, data driven, and eCommerce sites for the past 6 1/2 years. I have worked with companies in the entertainment, food and beverage, banking and financial industries as well as religious and specialty groups.
My primary programming and scripting languages are PHP, HTML/XHTML, CSS, and using JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and prototype. I primarily use Zend Framework for CMS and custom API integration. I am used to using mapping API's such as Google Maps, OpenLayers, and Bing Maps. I am comfortable using programs such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash, and Acrobat. I also have some experience with XML, AJAX, JAVA, VB, Dreamweaver, FrontPage, Premiere, and Encore.
Currently I am writing web software that can help to save lives. Zonar Systems provides electronic inspection, tracking, and management solutions for fleet operations. This Electronic Fleet Management solution streamlines day-to-day tasks. In addition Zonar Systems provides a first of its kind GPS system that captures a higher sample rate, in multiple dimensions, for more effective tracking fleet systems. In my current position I write programs to help track modular data for clients and support staff, XHTML optimization to increase page speeds, and create web enhancements to further usability of the Ground Traffic Control system. Technologies used: PHP 5, XHTML, CSS, jQuery and Prototype JS libraries, Postgres SQL, ZendFramework, OpenLayers, Bing Maps, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
I Administered Soundcu.com to ensure that rate, date, and content is accurate and fresh throughout the site. Performed updates of new promotions and products provided by Sound Credit Union. Ensured that Sound maintained a high search engine ranking for the different products and services as well as tracking logs and statistics of site traffic. Daily administration and design of Sound's intranet and board extranet. Creation of brochures, newspaper ads, slideshows, outdoor and billboards, postcard mailers, statement inserts, and yearly creation of promotional calendar. Technologies used: PHP 4 - 5, MySQL 5, Windows IIS Server (Development and intranet Server), Photoshop, Illustrator, Pagemaker 7, Powerpoint, Excel, and Word.
This site was designed around a print piece from North Wood Graphics for the Lutheran Marriage Encounter group. This group provides weekend retreats for couples to reconnect with each other. Technologies used: PHP 5, MySQL 5, EchoPay's payment methodologies program, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
